In a few hours we will welcome a new year. I have a nice feeling about 2016. I know it will be a great year. Just by looking at my new calendars.
Seriously.
I have three very nice ones. One was given to me by Mr. Roger Simone, my Qi Gong teacher at Carewell Foundation. It consists of three sets of cards for each month.
It looks like this for January, where the third card says “A NEW START.” Thank you, teacher Roger, for this fitting reminder that will greet me each day for the first month. And for the 11 other beautiful messages that should keep me inspired for the rest of the year.
The second one is a cheery red Feng Shui Almanac from my good friend, Marites Allen.
The January page says it’s the month of the Ox, my Chinese zodiac sign, and that excites me no end. Good and auspicious things are said to come to a person during his or her zodiac month. Indeed, it says Double Heaven’s Luck awaits the Ox-born; it also gives many helpful tips on how to enhance some sectors of the house to attract good luck.
It has a guide to my lucky and unlucky hours each day throughout the year, and shows which days are endowed with positive energies and suggests scheduling important activities on those days. Isn’t that neat?
Copies of the Marites Allen Feng Shui Almanac are available at all Frigga Charmed Life stores in Manila and Cebu and may be ordered online at www.frigga.co.uk or www.wealthluck.com.
The third one was sent by San Miguel Corporation. This year they got it SO right with the theme “Change Begins with Us,” and a short copy that says, in part:
“You don’t need fame, fortune or superpowers to make the world a better place. Sometimes, the little things we do make a big difference.”
Each photo comes with a short blurb.

Be in the now. Make time to create memories with those who matter.
Have a blessed and prosperous New Year, everyone!
